The House of Glassette at Selfridges
Taking the Glassette brand from digital marketplace to Oxford Street pop-up shop
I feel really proud to be part of the team who conceptualised, produced & installed this pop up shop on the Lower Ground Floor of Selfridges, London.
My initial concept for the space.
"The space acts as a showroom: a mini House of Glassette bringing to life the things that inspire us, giving a sense of what it’s like to have a life well lived with our Glassette objects. The space is cosy and warm and playful. We create mini tableaus - a cocktail table with a lamp, glassware and games, a kitchen island with striped bistro curtain. We showcase our knowledge of colour and interiors by painting in colours we’d choose for our home, inspired by 60s/70s homes we love - chalky finishes & timeless stripe fabrics."
For our pop-up shop in Selfridges, Oxford Street, the first IRL experience of the Glassette brand, I wanted to create The House of Glassette. To paint the space in the colours of the 1950s Californian kitchens on our moodboards, to make a big shoppable kitchen island, & home-like corners (styled like still life paintings, tableaus of life at home). Our Designer Sarah Prismall brought this ambitious concept to life with her commercial design for the space. And then our team worked a 16 hour night shift to install the shop, worked weekly at the space and evolved the curated product offering throughout our time there. A huge congrats to the entire Glassette team on this project.
