A Very 70s Christmas

A playful and imaginative campaign that translated the food, interiors and decor of the 1970s into a stylish and ultra modern visual feast.

In 2023 the 70s trend was big in the world of interiors and I wanted to take this to new heights by giving our festive campaign a distinct theme.

Hosting in the 70s was rainbow tablescapes, decked out drinks trollies and experimental centrepieces. Every garnish, every dish, every detail was a talking a point - which is very in keeping with Glassette’s attitude to hosting and living life at home. Once I’d decided on this theme, I followed the thread of the idea into design books & films from the 70s, Mad Men episodes (the Don & Megan era), old IKEA catalogues and HOLIDAY magazines to plan the art direction and styling approach for the shoot. I found the perfect location, the then home of musician Rae Morris in North London.

I worked with stylist Paula May Evans to bring the 70s feast tablescape to life, taking everything brilliant from the 70s - sunset coloured jelly, paper chains, playful centrepieces, food art, Turkish delight and more - adding our most giftable, show stopping product to create a rich visual world for our audience to feel inspired by.
